Music digipak

I created a digipak to promote and sell my music which includes the music video I created. The name of the band is 'Candy Rain', we chose this because this name represents colour which is one of the main features in the music video that we created. For example in the music video there are four girls that each represent a different colour. The name of the album is 'Love Enigme' which means love illusions and most of the songs in the album are related to love in some way. As you can see below I have displayed the digipak I created, it consists of four parts. The first in the front main cover which displays the four girls sitting or standing on a candy stick.

For part of our music video we did an ancillary task in which we had to create a digipak about the music video and a poster advertisement related to the digipak.

Researching and analysing album covers

This is the album cover Britney Speares album called Femme Fatale. The colours used on this cover are very elegant and soft. Britney Spears look as if she fades into the background this creates a good effect. Her eyes have been enhanced on the cover which is the main focal point of the picture because it is the first feature of the picture that caputres the attention. Britney Spears looks very elegant in the picture the flow in the hair is also incorpoated in the font of the text "Femme Fatale".  The lighting in the hair emphasises the face. The album cover reflects her songs because her songs for example in her song "Hold it against me" shes has lyrics that say "Hate to stare" this is ironik because on her album cover her most enhanced features are her eyes almost look as if they are staring at you which engages the audience at first look. In this song she also has lyrics like "Cause you feel like paradise" this is reflected on the album covers with the colours white and gold which connotes paradise.



This is Keri Hilson's song cover to her song Energy. The colours on this cover itself refelects the song really well. The text is very bold just like her lip which makes it very attractive.The sharp pink brings out the "Energy" in the album cover. The use of a very sharp pink on a black background on this cover is the main highlight as throughout the song she talks about energy over and over "this love is taking all of my energy". The use of dots fading from in from small to big on the cover mirror energy levels from weak to strong. The main attention on the cover is "Keri" her name and her face, this is probably trying to show that she is the main centre of attention in this song, this is very well reproduced in her music video as she is the main character in the video. The use of her pink lip and strong highlights in her hair really stress the fact that its about ME!



This is Chris Brown's album cover called ;Fame', which is clealy displaying him all over the cover showing he is centre of attention in veryones eyes. A mid close- up shot has been used on the main image of Chris Brown which makes hime stand out from the rest of the images, however those images are also of him which relate back to the album name 'Fame'. There is attitude on his face which show the attitude that he has built due to his fame. There are sharp, vibant colours used which melt well together, fitting in with a variety of shots used like high angles, side shots, close-ups etc. This shows how that he his famous in all forms of different colours and angles. The album name 'Fame' is displayed through a melting effect which fits in with the melting colours of Chris Browns shirt.

Ancillary Task: Researching Digipaks

Digipak is a patented style of compact disc or DVD packaging. Digipak - style packaging is often used for CD singles or special editions of CD albums. Music DVD digipaks are an alternative to standard jewel box packaging. Made mostly from thick card, the digipak is virtually shatterproof and allows great graphic display. Digipacks consist of a front panel which ususally has images displayed on. The back panel displays the songs available in the CD. The inside of the digipack includes the actual CD and a leaflet that includes more information.
